For over twenty-five years, one of us designed homes — spaces that felt personal and genuinely lived-in. The other built businesses, and spent every moment he could on the water with a fishing rod. Together, we raised two daughters and traveled coastal towns across the country and around the world, always drawn to the same things: local art, handmade goods, and the quiet story behind how people live beside the sea.
In 2012, we discovered Anna Maria Island. After years of vacationing, we finally took the plunge — and made it home.
Every coast we've visited shares the same bones: a respect for the tides and a beauty that doesn't ask to be explained. That shared thread is what became The Gilded Fisherman — a boutique shaped by design, travel, fishing, and a deep love of storytelling. Every piece is chosen the way you'd bring something home from a trip: because it belongs somewhere, and because it carries a past.
Our hope is simple. That when you walk through our doors, something feels familiar — a coastal memory, a place you once stood, a love of the sea that never quite leaves you.
